The full sized tyre kit has surrounding pockets with individual covers and are totally useless for any real storage!

... that you can stop your Lancer paint chipping easily?

Postby mitsfan » Sat Aug 08, 2009 9:10 pm

Like many other CJ Lancer owners, I discovered that my paint was chipping at an alarming rate within the first week of bringing it home.

After putting on a protective paint finish myself that includes paint softeners I happen to notice that very few additional chips have accumulate in the 6 months since doing this.

Did you know...

if you forget to switch off the rear demister and turn off the engine, it will not turn back on once you start the car again? It's a very good initiative from Mitsubishi.

Did you know

When your ignition is in the locked position and you remove the key, your dome light will turn on. As soon as you put your key back in it will turn off again!

Reducing road noise.

Postby mitsfan » Fri Aug 14, 2009 10:10 am

Did you know ...

You can significantly reduce interior road noise by applying a good quality moisturizing tyre paint to the inward-facing and outward-facing walls of your tyres?

You can reduce road noise a little further by applying a high quality rubber moisturizer to your door and rear hatch/boot seals. Be sure to get into all the folds, nooks and crannies. Your doors will also close with a more satisfying oooomph as well. And aside from also looking great when you open your doors, your seals will last longer also.

Nice one!
Did you know
I just found out vehicle vinyls come in metallic colours, pearlescent colours, woodgrain finishes, textured finishes, metal finishes (ie chrome etc.) holographic finishes, carbon fibre (duh) and misc simulated finishes!!!

I spoke to a sign shop guy - there's 1000's of different types. For all those who are wanting chrome bumpers / woodgrain or chrome interior etc ;-)
