Where to get parts???
Moderators: Moderators, Senior Moderators
Dejan,
I think the issues with the fit have to do with the chrome surround. You can probably get it to fit, with some modification and cutting.
I think everyone warned you about it as it is more than likely not a part that can just be fitted to the RA.
Are you coming for a run up to Swansea? We may be able to compare the RA to a normal CJ and see where the differences lie.

Damn, my RA is getting mods done so i wont get it back till next week, Swansea is happening this weekened as far as I know??? I'll try to get there with a CE Lancer this weekend if I could, but even that is just a MAYBE
When you guys said the RA's front bumper bar with the chrome surround is the cause of the issue, thats the bit i dont get. Isnt the nose just a strip on its own that we gonna try to stick on on the middle??? Whats the chrome surround got to do with it?? Unless you mean the whole front chrome grill has gotta come off and insert the nose underneath the chrome grill???? Can someone clear it up plzzzzzz

Believe it or not, that is true.
Yeah but I dont think it has forgies or anything in it.... if it does then its fkn detuned.
With a small turbo + int and emanage you could get 140min ATW with no problems.
Yes you need bigger breaks and all that rabble but unless your doing 200+ then it dont matter what breaks you have on it.
Also a heavy duty clutch will go down well

Care to explain how I managed to wreck a set of OEM pads then (oh and the VRX already has bigger rotors than an ES) and I only have a 2L NA???? Oh and I've also had my wheels locking briefly up from my Bendix HD pads getting too hot for comfort...
FYI you don't have to be doing 200kph+, go drive a windy downhill road and hammer it in between the corners and then hit the brakes hard, corner after corner and you'll get brake fade, go to a race track and your OEM pads will be dead. Now a turbo is going to hit much quicker speeds and wreck the OEM pads alot quicker!
Btw, why would anyone want a FWD car making 140KW ATW, the lancer torque steers enough as it is already...

I think even most crashed (written off) cars you'll find have wrecked their engine. It's rare that you'll find a written off car that has a perfectly working engine nowadays.

Ryan, if he wants 140kw on his fwd let him have it. You aint going to sway him with your 'torque steer'.
Ill take 140kw on my car anyday, regardless of whether its fwd or rwd.
I think if anyone had any regard for their own saftey and the saftey of others they wouldnt hammer it down straights then slam on the brakes on windy downhill roads.

Do you even know what torque steer is Tadz?
Nothing wrong so long as you don't break the speed limits Tadz, whether you chose to hit the limits or drive like a grandma 30kph under the limit, it's all above board
Wait till you dont have to have your mummy in the car Tadz and can go somewhere like a race track, the CJs understeer like a pig with 90KW ATW around a corner yet alone 140KW...
Even if you were going to go for 140KW atw it's not as simple as bolt on a turbo You'll really need a LSD, coil overs, decent forged rims with grippy tyres and bigger brakes to even have some decent segree of control of the car's new found power. Only a noob would just bolt on a turbo and do nothing else...

Honestly ryan, latley you havnt been making very many friends around here. To be quite honest you've been pi**ing alot of people off.
I may not know as much as other people, but just because i dont know as much as everyone else doesnt mean im a complete deads***.
Why do you have to rain on peoples parades so much man, seriously. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just as you are. But come on man seriously, you think any good is going to come from posting stuff like that. WE KNOW. An ES CJ isnt an evo. We know you dont like RA badges on a ES,VR etc.
I never said it would be as easy as 'bolting on a turbo' nor would i want to without proper knowledge which i will admit, i dont have. Ive never worked on a turbo car, ive never driven a turbo car. I know what torque steer is and i know its a pain in the a**. Some people rather the driving experience a CJ can give them, if they want more juice under the hood, who are you to tell them their wrong or they shouldnt do it.
Your not helping anyone with your attitude. Im not the only one who thinks this. And i know you know that.
I know you know what your talking about, I never said you didnt, but your attitude sucks man. Stop thinking everyone else is dumb and wrong and everything you say is right and the only solution.

Much like what do you expect to do by spamming the forum ervery single day? It's gonna win you friends? You always have to whack a post in a thread even if you have absolutely no idea and that 'advice' might lead to them breaking their car
Need I remind you of this just a few posts up????
Sounds like a bolt a turbo on and she'll be right sort of attitude...
But we're going back to the early days of everyone carrying on how a Turbo-ed FWD CJ using a RRM or ExtremeBoost kit would easily smash a Evo and our gear boxes can handle 500HP safely with no mods.....but I'm yet to see anyone on here with a Evo-smashing FWD CJ
EDIT: Also I should add I'll speak the turth about what I think and if others dont like it then tough, deal with it. If you want to have a cry over every word I say Tadz I couldn't care less. I also find you tirade to have me banned quite amusing
