Hi there guys ( & gals ) ...
Ummm ... I read this 2day ... And I'm guessing it's an " Evolving " concept which "could" actually control the actual driving speed of the car.??
I don't think this does ... yet.? - But if this is the start of this Tech, who knows if they can integrate this to control speed " automatically ".??
Are you's all ready for the change.? - Hmmmm.?

I've had a cop give me a ticket for 122km in a 100 zone but my GPS unit and speedo have both shown 110km. So the cops will try to get you for speeding any way they can. And yes I'm taking the ticket to court as I've got the data log from the GPS to prove I wasn't speeding. Also QLD police was recently made to refund a number of tickets due to their equipement being inaccurate

The GPS isnt that accurate as it measures average velocity, not proper speed. Ive found on my garmin I can expect around 5kmph difference due the way it measures and accuracy.

Isn't the alleged speed supposed to be 10% less than the detected speed if over 100 kph? There should be some buffer in that regard and if the GPS is correct, then there shouldn't be a fine. I suspect cheating here.

you can get a ticket for 3kms over that is the lowest they can go, regaurdless of the speed zone (in QLD). so it goes 3-12km over 1point, 13-25km over 3 points, 30km or more over instant loss of licience. The majourity of police wont go after the 1 point fines as its worthless to the revenue collection and the time it takes for them to write the ticket they may miss a 3 pointer or more. The copper I got was just being a d!ck he gave me 3 tickets including the speeding one but the other 2 are going to be thrown out of court as soon as it goes. 1 ticket is for an illegal supercharger on my car. That backs up me not speeding quite simply by the fact that he can't even get details right from a stationary vechile how the hell can he get the right details from a moving vechile
