Seen the news Reece? the data mining by facebook, it really is no worse than any company really, society is just a product to social media, look at the facebook mood experiments etc. And Google probably knows more about you than your own mother...

Ohhhhh, well that’s with any social media, just don’t upload or post personal crap, I just use it to browse and chat to family and mates, this type of stuff has been happening for ages

Re: VIC - Spotted Thread
It has, some people just haven't noticed till the news breaks it, I've been watching for years how the ads went from being random and all over the shop to more targeted and browse history orientated, haven't come across the "all I did was talk about XXX I've never searched for it and now I have ads for XXXX" problem yet. Simple adblockers are handy, but nothing beats a VPN or constantly clearing your cookies and cache, websites load so fast now days you don't need the cookies and cache. I believe some browsers you can actually disable cookies and cache, or set them to delete after every session.

Yep! I reckon they’ve been doing it for much longer then how popular the headlines are, I thought it was just common sense, they use software which uses their social media engines to attract and push ads directed to our own searches which in thus attracts more revenue for them.. but like said VPNs probably the best way to keep your self and location safe, but in the end if they want to look up your chats and searches they can do so without even a blink of an eye

Big brother is watching lol
I pretty much got sick of seeing all the gossip on FB as well......and as for ads I use an adblocker, works fairly well.
I generally only used FB for playing games and keeping up with another car group/s but no longer go on there as the game I played was scrapped and only follow this group now
Sometimes check in on MCM to see if they are coming to town (once in a blue moon).

That’s fair enough! My parents don’t like using fb their selves due to the privacy invasion, I’ll be honest I’m only on there mainly for memes and car posts hahaha

Hey Quismiff,
Stop stalking me, man... At least, I think that was you on the Sth Gippy Hwy yesterday, southbound just before Pound Road.

HAHAHA! you caught up to me! I thought about it for a minute after telling the Mrs (who was driving) that I needed an exhaust like yours, then the penny dropped that it was probably you
p.s the dirtiness didn't tip you off the poor girl really needs a good clean, long weekend coming up, I'll need the three days

Yeah, well... I don't hang around when I'm driving. I like seeing the horizon getting nearer, faster.
So what does the exhaust I've got sound like? I can't really get an idea of what it sounds like from inside the car. FYI - it's a "Greddy", if that means anything to you. (Means bugger all to me.)
Your dirty car? Nah, it was the rego plate. I saw it and thought "I think that's Quis's car, there, maybe..."

Re: VIC - Spotted Thread
GReddy is a good brand, had a nice note to it, wasn't loud as you shot past. So wouldn't attract anyone's attention
I like the corners, I fall asleep on long straights The Dandenongs are a fun time out towards Yarra Valley, or up to the lookout and back down =) And a little spot out past Lysterfield Lake towards Ferntree Gully

Re: VIC - Spotted Thread
Lots of CJs in the south east this weekend!
Two RAs at Lynbrook Shops, 1x Black sedan, 1x White Sports back.
On the way to the airport on Saturday morning a Blue RA on the Monash we followed them/they followed us till Bourke St off ramp.
Taking daughter to get a blood test in Berwick a white RA/EVO pulled up next to us to turn into a side road off Pound road.
A white Sedan on the on ramp heading back home.
And a Black Sedan heading out of the shops, had a zorst on it, but couldn't tell you much else in the dark
(since most of you reading this are from outside VIC I understand the geographic challenges this post presents
