Active Victorian members roll call
The purpose of this thread is to get a current snapshot of all active Victorian members of Club CJ.
Club CJ is in a rebuilding phase and I want to find out if we have the numbers to make it worthwhile for more involved activities such as cruises and meets, merchandise like stickers and T-shirts, or other advanced things like a tool lending scheme or parts swapping. Not knowing the membership numbers was one of the reasons I think no one nominated for the committee.
What I'm asking is a simple reply to this topic with a rough location (don't use suburb) ie. Northern Melbourne, Western Victoria etc. and model/year of car you own (Add a photo too if you want). Even if it's the first post you'll make or your a new member that prefers to stay silent please let us know that there is a healthy core.
For example I'd reply:
Location: North eastern Melbourne.
Car: 2012 ES Sportback.
Thanks everyone.

Good work, keep them coming guys and gals.
I think the other states should also try to take a member count, NSW and QLD should have some good numbers.

Re: Active Victorian members roll call
I agree I will start one, would love a meet or club activity here in NSW
We are all in it for the fun!
Re: Active Victorian members roll call
May be wiser to have this thread to cover all active members, all states and overseas.
As we now also have a thread for NSW. if this continues to include separate threads for
each and every state and overseas. RECENT TOPICS will be cluttered and drowned out!
Might be worthwhile, management taking a look at this?

Re: Active Victorian members roll call
I see some benefits in having a thread for every state and territory (if one is indeed started for each), and then collating the results afterwards for a national tally. The threads will soon fill up and then be overtaken by more recent topics.
As it is supposed to capture active members, these state based threads should probably only be kept open a certain amount of time before being locked though.

The reason I wanted Vic only and not national is because I want to see if it is worth devoting more time to try and organize social and other events.
If we can get a good core number of members in Vic there are a few plans and ideas we can discuss in the future, at the end of the day it is the members in our own state that will be the ones we are most likely to connect to in person.
It's also why I think the other states should have their own threads as it's unlikely/pointless for anyone to try organize anything from another state.
We'll let this run till the end of the month so that people who want to be involved but might only log in infrequently have a chance to reply. I'm already hatching some ideas and locations for a get together and if all goes well we can look at more advanced things like cruises.

Re: Active Victorian members roll call
Just a little bump and to add some info.
Outside a Club CJ organized meet we have a few other options in Vic: Saturday night at the pen and Glenny Kebabs.
Saturday night at the pen is a car meet every Saturday at the BP on Peninsula Link in Baxter. It's more of a classic/muscle car show. Used to be on Eastlink till police shut it down.
Glenny Kebabs is every Wednesday night in Glen Waverley and caters more to Japanese and European modified cars and would be a good fit.
Not organizing anything just yet but just letting people know there are options.

I've been sitting back watching this thread develop.
How do Victorian members feel about Mooman being a state moderator. I sure could do with some help from active members

If it's just moderation of the forum, I don't think he'd be increasing his exposure to liability risks either, although IANAL...
