2017 Black Edition CF Lancer

Postby 2017LancerCF » Thu Dec 21, 2017 9:32 pm

Just wanted to see if there was a specific CF lancer thread on these forums. My new car arrives soon. It’s a slow car compared to my current Subaru Forester XT so I’m not interested in trying any engine or performance mods. Just looking to make it as comfortable/luxurious inside as I drive in traffic to and from work so I’m not going anywhere quickly anyway. Seat retrimming and sound system upgrade are on the cards :D who else has a done a retrim or put sound systems in here?

The stock interior has an extra red stripe on the plastic strip. Some red stitching on the steering wheel, gear stick and front door trims are the only real changes from a standard model on the inside.

I’m planning on a retrim in Black and red leather very similar to the photo below. Just got to find an upholstery shop in Brisbane/Gold Coast area that will be able to ensure the airbags in the seats are not voided, function perfectly and the stitching in the release area for the bags is matched to the original to ensure no issues with airbag deployment. Anyone know any good trim shops?

It’s how the interior should have been done by Mitsubishi in the first place then I wouldn’t have to redo it lol

Why is it called the black edition when it had red bits the other CFs don't?

Pretty much, they slapped on a quick marketing scheme with the black edition, wish they bumped up some other things like features and performance with it

Yeah when I bought it it was the same price as the standard model so I got the Black Edition. Anyway I’d rather this thread be about the mods not the negatives of the car. Anyone got some audio install photos of their Lancer

Yass, maybe not stiffer suspension, up it by few KW, apparently the 2017 lancers are now rated at 121kw from 125kw, but nothing the aftermarket community can’t fix!

Your apparently referring to the 2.4ltr 4B12 engine. the 2.0 ltr 4B11 engine as in the black edition, according to Mitsubishi is 110kw but sometimes quoted by reviewers and others at 113kw. Often wandered if the 113kw being the figure before they started using the clam shell exhaust manifold on the 2.0ltr engine!

It’s not a performance car. It’s a cheap reliable car that has a large catalog of bits and pieces that can be put on it for fun/looks/small performance gains for relatively cheap
