This week I received a big package from Shadows!
Tonight I added my window visors, very subtle against the darkened windows.

This weekend I hope to add the front air dams and side skirts.....

More to follow...

I like those Visors, I had a set on my Outlander. Might have to invest in a set I think :)

I am quite pleased with the gear from Xfactor design. Shadows really makes a great product. The colour matching is outstanding and even buying the air dams first and then the sides, he still gave me the visors free! Even after two lots of postage, the package comes out as cheap as one rear diffuser from an Australian supplier....

Shadows, keep up the great work. I would probably like to get a leather interior next... will be a jazzy ES !

I am hoping Shadows decides to give us a rear diffuser, I am holding out for one, rather than buying one from SSV or Talon etc... no offence to the Australian producers, but they can really stab you on price.

cheers all for the comments.

I really recommend the Auto Folding mirrors from X-Factor Designs as well! I installed mine tonight, pics and video up tomorrow.

They look fantastic and they work so well!!

Shadows is a legend!

Sir VRX,
agree with the mirrors being fantastic.. I will get to them in due course. I think the next product I want from Shadows is a full leather interior. By then I am hoping he has a rear diffuser of some sort and then it will be the mirrors !!!!

Has anyone come across a cheaper-than-mitsubishi Australia supplier of the OEM tweeters or steering wheel audio controls?

Thanks for any ideas

Ok, put on the air dams and side skirts. So my ugly duckling ES has transformed herself in 3 weeks... from bog stock with 16" alloy wheels, no tint, no bling, no fogs...nothing....

Now she is closer to what I think Lancers should look like; lowered, 18's, tint, visors, blacked-out nose, bit of chrome around the nose, fogs, dams and skirts. Exhaust is being done next Friday... Next I will be bothering you all about how to add the sub-woofer and amp!!!!

Thanks for all your collective advice...

That looks nice. I wasn't a huge fan of that colour but with the skirts etc it has made it look awesome. I like the look without the boot spoiler.

lzy-eye,
thanks for the compliment. It actually has the lip spoiler, but I am still thinking about another spoiler... although it really only needs a diffuser to cut up the bland rear end a little...

I would leave the lip and track down a diffuser. Will give it a nice clean look. Best thing is it will look a little more unique.

Looks awesome!! Can't wait to see you on a cruise one day!

There is one this Sunday, but you already said you can't make it. Shame, this is one sick looking car.

I appreciate all the assistance from you all. Today I added some tweets into the empty sail panels. The best thing about tweets is that most come with 4.7uF capacitors already mounted or lined-in the wiring loom provided. I found some 80watt RMS 2.5" tweets from WOW Sight and Sound that fit beautifully. They sit perfectly in the hollow space and I cut some light-gauge aluminium to strap it to the screw holes. The tweets adhere to the strap using some really strong double-sided tape.

Instead of cutting the wires, or losing the factory plug, Dick Smith has little packets of pcb tails, which have a flange in the middle. I cut two in a row and they are the perfect distance to join into the OEM plug. Soldered the tails of the tweet loom onto the pcb tails and slid it into the plug. A dab of trim tape to secure it all and they are just as neatly done as factory.

To be honest, I just could not afford the $350 for the pair of RA pieces of art !!!!

Hopefully Ofey will have my order for wheel-mounted audio controls and I will be one step closer to happy.

Has anyone else bought the leather from Shadows? I think I would like plain black leather for the beast. Comments?

Cheers

PS, sorry about missing the run tomorrow, really want to be there but there is a big bike run on and I have to get the Guzzi out !!!

PPS, Exhuast in next Friday !!!

Ok, so I was bored...

No prizes for guessing which owner's white masterpiece I copied this trick from.... I painted my fog surrounds...

Although the white surrounds with white looks outstanding, I could only think of "plate silver" colour to accent the sand beige (champagne) colour of mine...

And, you barely use a squirt out of the can, a tiny bit of masking tape and a 16th of a 320 grit square of sand paper, so cost is way down to about $4....

I think it is a necessary addition...
