hey, one thing i have never been a fan of was the interior trim of my '09 (the "carbon" looking piece that stretches across the dash, covering the hazard section)
was thinking of wrapping blue, but came across some Chameleon purple wrap as well, just need a few opinions

All are an improvement, Chameleon looks interesting. Gets down to personnel choice!

just not too sure whether or not the chameleon look will reflect too much. hence why i was looking at like a matt blue as well

Re: Wrapping Interior Trim
Only reflection you will get is in the front drivers side window, from piece between steering wheel and window and on other side window, from the closest 30 to 40cm or so. Not a hassle really. If you look carefully at your windows, you will pick up the feint reflection of the existing dash, Will give you exactly where and what sort of reflection you will get. I've put chrome molding along the top of my dash and front doors and reflection, yes, noticeable when driving, no.

Re: Wrapping Interior Trim
IMO the blue would contrast well with the black and grey of the car. I think the other one is an interesting finish as well but I don't think it would really suit. However, it's not my car so... you do you, bud.
I went with a matt black for mine. I did mine alone and for me the hardest part was the right side of the large center trim piece where it kind of bends. Hard for me to get a smooth surface so I have a couple of small wrinkles there, but you don't exactly see them as the piece tucks itself away quite well.

i went with carbon black on mine. I also done the polished silver parts near the gear selector. I was getting mean sun reflections off it hence why i done it. looks mint though.

Re: Wrapping Interior Trim
I think DIY wrapping is quite good but if you try it for the first time the result might not be that good. I wasted a lot of time on my car wrap but the marks were not going so I got that from vehicle wraps service. They carefully installed the wrap. Was extremely pleased with their service.
Re: Wrapping Interior Trim
First time wrapping is fine and so is taking your time. It's not a race. Do your research and watch a couple of tutorials. The only place I would think first timers would have issues with are some of the stronger curves without proper preparation. The far right side of the main dash trim that runs from the top of the glove box all the way to the left of the steering column. Time and preparation are key.

And a bit of heat!!!
Its an old thread but valid and still of interest.
Worth resurrecting?

A hair dryer on low heat can help wrap the vinyl and get it round corners a lot easier
