A lot of people have moved on and have other cars now. There were more cruises back in the old days. I was attending meets at least once a fortnight - 3 weeks both in Sydney and up here in QLD. Met a lot of awesome people on here as well.

300,000 kays thats awesome
How many front CV joints have you been thru?

Still same CV joints, Its a CVT. Valve body was replaced at 200,000. Apart from regular servicing, only battery changes and rear suspension end links were replaced.

Everything in this thread is great, it's great to see that there are members willing to rise up to the challenge. I've spent days pondering on what format and combination of things concerning the forum, social media and merchandise will work. So far the best one I've come to is, creating a homepage that's more geared towards being a "hub" for all things lancer/mitsubishi/jdm car related which would have [ news / photos / forum(s) / merchandise / garages ]. That way we don't necessarily have to heavily modify the forum if at all, and it can remain as a more consolidated source of information and indepth CJ related things. And I agree with CoreyB a partnership with AUS CJ would probably be the best way to go about things regarding Facebook.

great thread with great ideas, i'll be honest, even half way into 2017 the lancer trend is still strong, maybe not as strong as it use to be, but i know plenty of people who love their lancers and modify them to make it personally theirs. thing is they're unaware of many social media lancer related sites like this forum and such, social media would definitely push the forums reach out more, i also thing creating meets/cruises would be a great thing to do to create more of a family atmosphere but also motivate other members to work on their own car as others do! stickers too, such an easy way to freely advertise on our own cars

I agree with the main issue that the group faces being a difficult one; CJ is a limited series of the Lancer model and so it's not very future-proof, given only so many of them exist and there won't be more and more coming in..

Nonetheless, adapting or expanding to Lancers in general seems the simplest and easiest solution for that. And possibly having different sections for the various series of Lancers in regards to specific discussions and mods, as well as a general space for ALL Lancer owners to chat and organise meets, etc. would make sense to me

Either way though, as a new owner to a CJ, this forum has been invaluable in helping me to mod my new ride and really make it mine. And just to learn and see what others have done or are doing is really cool too. I think there is a really great culture in here, and that's definitely worth preserving and growing

Perhaps CLUBCJ/CF? However whilst CJs have reached their max in numbers, they are getting older
and that's going to create a greater demand for info: and mods: which as time goes by becomes harder and harder to find :)

ClubCJ/CF I feel is still to restrictive as the Grand Lancers are probably going by a different model name. I think it would be more worthwhile thinking of a name to suit us a more "automotive society" rather than a hyper-specialised car page.

Take a look around the Internet
Theres tons of forums dedicated to a particular model of car/motorcycle

Leave it as the cj forum with support for the cf

There is other forums that are open to anything with 4 wheels

If we try and cover all versions of lancer isnt there another forum that does most if not all of that already?
