Hi Lancer Team!
I purchased 2011 Lancer VRX brand new back in 2012, and still love my car. I have resigned to the fact I won't purchase another car for a long time hence why I have joined & want to modify by adding a body kit, new exhaust system & a few other minor mods.
I'm no rev head by all means just want to improve the look of my VRX, slightly improve performance & ask for advice to ensure I'm making a well informed decision on mods.
So far you guys have offered excellent info in just reading various forums etc. In saying that I wanted to ask if any of you purchased body kits from Repliglass - Redbank plains? If so, were you happy with the purchase & any info you can offer on installing the front, rear & side skirts? I am going with the dual exhaust also, however won't be doing this until I actually have the rear diffuser. Look forward to your replies.

Re: 2011 Lancer VRX - Welcome & Body Kit Questions
The only time I'll purchase a fibreglass piece is if it has been recommended by a large number of people or if I can physically test fit the piece before purchase. Bit of a shit to fix any errors with the piece IMO.
EDIT: Looking at the facebook page of the seller they seem to have some nice custom work done. Don't let that sway your opinion on a premade piece though.

Re: 2011 Lancer VRX - Welcome & Body Kit Questions
Don't know Repliglass. I fitted Talon diffuser, also made of fiberglass. While fit isn't perfect 3mm gaps in the corners, have to get right up to car to notice, if you go looking for it.
Many seem to have problem with left side low. Problem solved by me with careful fitting. Thread in forums.
By the way my exhaust is standard. Left hand tip false. Supplied with diffuser along with the one for the existing exhaust.

Thanks Sarusa, that's looks good. I sussed out the talon diffusers and was a bit torn between it and the one I ended up using.
I guess I will out find out once the body kit is completed whether if I will have problems installing.

Re: 2011 Lancer VRX - Welcome & Body Kit Questions
Many aftermarket items that are not quite right, can be corrected and fitted neatly, with a bit more care and on occasion ingenuity!
I also coincided the Repliglass diffuser but decided against it, because the side extensions didn't fit into my preference:D

Did you fit your own or have someone to do it?

Did my own. Painted it gunmetal grey.
Re: 2011 Lancer VRX - Welcome & Body Kit Questions
Beginning to regret going through Repliglass, seems there needs to be a few mods required.....I could lose my fog lamps & the chrome in the front grill end of VRX's (one of the feature's on the VRX I like) I'll wait & see what the finishing product looks like before I judge. Quoted $1100 to paint & fit providing no issues fitting rear diffuser.

Re: 2011 Lancer VRX - Welcome & Body Kit Questions
Ok time to report back in POST bodykit & sports exhaust installation, (BTW way guys after further investigation I can confirm my Lancer is a 2012 not a 2011) thatnks to clearing up some misguided information!! :
RELPIGLASS - Front, side & rear skirts installed to replace existing VRX bodykit, please excuse my lack of navigation posting pictures hoping they display properly?
REDBANK PLAINS SMASH REPAIRS - Painted & installed the kit, had concerns I would lose the fog lights however Ty managed to incorporate a bracket to re-install them successfully, however I have't cut out the holes they are sitting behind the mesh. Paint job that good looks like I'll be considering getting a whole re-paint job...we'll see.
I will post more photos later...

Re: 2011 Lancer VRX - Welcome & Body Kit Questions
Nice work,
If I had a chance of a body respray I'd love to change the color but done right its an expensive job, why didn't Mitsy make a yellow CJ?
I'm keeping my CJ for at least 5 years, that's the loan period. I'll revisit that issue in a couple of years to see if I can afford a stock low kays RA... in white!
