Thanks everyone - so far it's silver first, blue second, vinyl gets the bronze medal!

lol diffuser is fiberglass and is now sold, I understand painted black, as are most new panels by oem. Ready? for painting after a light sanding.
Awaiting call back from Dave to place my order. Price $275 plus $45 postage. Car is cool silver, not sure of what colour to paint diffuser. Possibly black or dark grey, or maybe an offset of the cars colour.

Will let you know results when received, and when painted and fitted. :|

Have purchased talon rear diffuser awaiting arrival. My car is cool silver any ideas of what colour would look good on bar.
Considering body colour or black or maybe offset shade of car

I'd do it flat black, and that's on a black CJ.

@Sarusa. Have you thought about a gunmetal grey colour? It would be a good contrast with the colour of the car.

Have you thought about hydro-dipping? You can get a nice carbon fibre pattern. I have no idea what it's worth to get done, probably more than you paid for the diffuser.

No. Will be painting it myself. I believe it comes with a black plasticized coat ready for a light sand and painting. Shall check with supplier as to what is appropriate but imagine prep will be the same as painting an OEM plastic bumper. Finnish will be acrylic lacquer with clear coat.

keep us posted about how it goes with the colour, install and overall product. been looking at the sportback one for a while to suit the twin pipes. just waiting for the funds. and by my spending pattern, maybe around 2020 hahahaha (dies a little inside)

for colour, gunmetal grey like you said, will look mint :D
if you want, have a look at what colours people wrap parts in. you may not want to wrap, but it gives you a better idea and broader scale of what colours you could do for painting as well.

Received talon rear diffuser yesterday, not bad ordered last Thursday evening, just 3 working days.
Having read a couple of bad reports about finish of unit. I immediately pulled off all the wrapping and
inspected it. All looks A OK, good enough to whack the paint straight on but will lightly sand with emery paper
first as directed gives the paint a better chance to grip. There are a few light marks on it but these
are right under the car and not normally visible, if in fact they will be.

Any chance you could tell me how wide the openings are for the exhaust? about 70% on ordering one for the sportback, want to make sure my exhaust will sit well in the openings
