Fabricated the air scoop for under the air intake and installed it. Haven't takin it for a drive yet to test it (see if it wobbles etc)

Also had some spare light black tint kickin about so i done the rear tail lights with tint film. Not 100% sold on it. Mainly cos i ballsed one up and it looks a little bit crap I might end up tearing off the outter lights tints and keep the inner tinted. Thoughts on this?

Was hoping to get my rear pads done today too but couldn't get enough height from the jack to place stands under (Weird right?!)

Edit: took the tint film off the outter lights. Didnt set right.

(thursday) got the RA into AK racing for a major service +SST fluid and filter, and general check over.
considering i had no information on the car from before i got it im glad to find out its in pretty much perfect condition.

maybe i dont want to sell it for a 4x4 again now, and just get a 4x4 anyway hah

Had some happy thoughts of my old CJ lancer and this forum and decided to login and see what's happening.

Brought my lancer new in October 2008, sold it with 213,000ks in Mid 2013 I think.

Was a great car.

Are any of the original clubcj.net crew still around? Miss the old days. Guess nobody knows who I am etc. anymore.

I think i am thw only original one left. The Aspire is still going stong with around 70,000km.

Washed and polished car. Using as usual Zaino Z2 pro: polymer polish. Wipe it on and wipe it off, on paint glass and plastics.
Water was still beading after about 9 months, from previous polish using Zaino but beads were getting a bit larger.

This polymer polish gives you a Brilliant shine, leaves surface smooooooth , beading tiny droplets

Also did tyres with Meguiars tyre gel. If you use this stuff use it very sparingly or be sorry when it flies all over your car,
as happened to a neibour.

Meguiars Wet Look polymer polish used to be nearly as good, but now not available.
Changed Wet Look which now contains a liquid wax. While they still produce a polymer polish under their Gold Label.
Last time I checked with them, Aus: distributor wasn't interested in having anything to do with it.
Only polymer polish now available through general retail outlets is NU Finnish. Which to me, while good, isn't up to the mark!

Armourall is a great product, Fathers day present was a gift bucket from Big W with all the goods inside, I've never had any complaints, and the car inside and out looks a million bucks when done =) the only time I might splurge on quality would be a good cut and polish like meguiars or such. What does the Zaino Z2 cost sarusa? and is it hand application or machine?

Providing your paint is still intact and comes up with a shine . Suggest you clay the car if you wish, not essential, and then Zaino.

Zaino is applied by hand. No hard rubbing or anything. just a tiny bit on a microfiber rag, wipe it on with straight strokes, just a tiny amount which you can hardly see, let it dry, 15 minutes or longer and then just wipe it off. All done gently. Easy and effortless and wow!

Price of Zaino z2 pro last time I received it was $75 delivered, for 2 lots, previous 1 lot $35 bought one for my daughter and husband as they had just bought 2 new cars. There is a distributor in each state, in Vic its at Tullamarine. By the way if you wanted to there is a whole line of their products you can use on top of each other for the ultimate show car shine.But Zaino z2 pro on its own is to me mirror perfect and a second cote which I have never done will apparently be even better. Lasts for months just did mine after 9 months, was still beading. price per application is minimal.

Armour-All is great! Always livens up the interior dash and vinyl

Although, I do notice that the Lancer seems to get a lot dustier than my Hilux dash used to.. That may be because the Hilux was cream, and Lancer is black, so more visible on it?!?! Either way, I think it's worth it to help against sun damage, as well as give it that new car look
