CJ Price Then And Now

Postby sarusa » Sat Nov 05, 2016 10:49 am

Happened to be reading a review on the 2007 CJ on its release. Boy! Aren't we lucky. With all the added equipment, advanced technology
and refinement Which exceeds most off what was offered by the then VRX with the now ES , we now pay substantially less then that VRX!
I got a super bargain to that poor guy who bought his VRX then. Especially when you factor in the $ value :o

So Miracles do happen!!

which new cars being offered for sale in Australia of today do not have some technology as old or older.
There are some with as much old, or even older technology and these include top of the range brands.
Why change when what you have is already fine? Main reason I believe is just market strategy
A lot of the so called improved items are just gobbledygook with no real benefit and to get the reviewers on side!
The reason so many cars now use a turbo is there for marketing benefits, with many ifs and buts for benefit.

When your on a good thing stick to it!!!

I paid about half of the original value when I got my 09 VRX 2 years ago, I know newer models have a few more toys but the underlying safety is there with a 5 star rating. I don't really need a turbo RA as I find the 2.4 has plenty of go when you step on the loud pedal in the right gear. Those buying the CF new are getting more for their money than about 10 years ago even if it's a 10yo design.

Still better than some countries like Mexico in which Nissan is still making a car based on the 90's designed Pulsar. Here is a video of it against the current Pulsar the rest of the world gets.
