Ok, people up for tuning this trip, its time to send me a pm on your tuning time/slot preference.
I notice there is a bid for early Saturday and one for Sunday morning already, so send me a note.
My preference is to do most of the NA Lancers Saturday morning and early afternoon and the Ralliarts later Saturday. I will do one Ralliart on Sunday morning if required. And there may be an opportunity to do one Lancer Friday afternoon/evening, maybe.
I will get some more boost pills organised. Ralliart people pm me if you will require a boost pill.

A huge thank you to Annie Tiff and Troy for making the weekend a success.
I can assure you all a good tuning session relies on committed local help, and that was forthcoming in abundance.
From my point of view I was very pleased with the results and I am sure Elliott is happy to know his Ralliart has been rescued from the brink of destruction.

Car definitely is nicer to drive, if it came out the factory like this I'm sure they'd sell more! Interesting that there are so many tiny variations in supposedly the same engine though, both software and hardware wise. This includes the inclusion of an EGR valve which mine has. Maybe it's only a post-2013 4B11 thing? There's another interesting thing Merlin has from tuning my car to maybe add in the future to other tunes in regards to tiptronic, maybe that's only the case on recent 4B11 CVT cars with EGR valves? Who knows!
It drives so much better that at least initially, I had to consciously watch my speed as it runs so much more effortlessly. Fuel economy is noticeably better as well, but I would have to do a few more drives of known routes and traffic conditions to be able to better quantify that.
Well worth it? Absolutely!
Merlin also explained what happens when using lower octane fuel, since that was asked by someone earlier. Hopefully I explain this right! Basically the car interpolates on a weighting of 0-255 between the tuned high octane map and worst case low map as required, so you still get benefit on lower octane just not as much. I doubt you would run purely on the low map even if using 91. Also timing is reduced if knocking occurs until such point that it doesn't. Useful since 98 fuel is often much lower (apparently).
The different air filter used in the newer 4B11's is exactly like the Ryco OEW replacement, the A1839:
The outer lip on the filter creates the seal between the two halves of the box.

I might add a pic of my car once I style the exterior a bit .
