Even the dealer couldn't tell me when the change happened.

My 2015 my15 ES Sport still has red display. Colored on LS and XLS only. Not sure 2016 update. All ASX are colored.

Yeah I think getting an ASX is a safer bet unless they have proof it's colored.

But the question remains what the hell are Mitsubishi thinking, wouldn't it cost them more to have 2 different displays depending on the spec level?

Having worked in the place - the colour was more expensive and they had plenty of stock of the mono to get rid of ;-)

I still want one but right now I'd rather spend the money on a touch screen sound system.

Yeah, just need to decide on my insurance, annual or monthly payments?

I looked up one carsales.com.au and that model ASX does have color.
But as discussed before it's not just the cluster, getting it reset to match the kms costs about $300 and takes a few days.

I asked and my dealer can't, I guess it's only done for free if it's a warranty issue?

I'll double check.

@ Shaun

Did your dealer actually reset or match your Km's on the new color dash using their own equipment.
If yes, then do you know what they used and/or how/process they did it ?
My dealer reckon they cant do it with their Mitsu MuT gear.

They need to get a special code from Japan (after supplying some supporting infomation related to the vehicle).

Well, at least they used to....that may have changed now.....

My Mitsy dealer said they can't do it but was a little cryptic and said it can be done other ways, maybe the special code when it specifically to replace one under warranty or a dealer supplied replacement part?

But like I said before there is a place in Brisbane (and other cities) that can do it, takes about 3 days and costs about $300, they just need to know the ODO to set it to.

So you can either estimate a reading for the future and when you get to it swap or just have your car off the road for a few days.

Still think its a cool mod and well worth it, might still get that one and just save up to do the reset.
