I recently purchased my mothers fiances Lancer CJ 07 auto and as it's my first car I've begun to look into what I need and what's the best and cheapest things to optimize the car. I've bought an ELM237 and Torque Pro on Android. I've also looked into what sealant, car wash etc to clean the car with.

I have some questions at the moment. The car has the ASC error that I read about on this site and some error codes in torque
U0121 - Network
P1710 - Powertrain
P0705 - Powertrain

When I bought the car, my mums fiance said that he got it serviced but they weren't able to clear the asc error message. Should I clear faults on ECU and see if it re-appears or does it prevent the fault from showing up again?

By the way even though it was made in 2007 it is a MY08

It's the ES model. I'll look up those codes on here tomorrow. I did a general internet search with those codes and it seems that combinations of codes could point to certain things. Hopefully someone has posted about a similar combination to me.
