Yes you read right, next year they will start making a limited run of new DeLoreans costing about $142,000AUD. They will look like the classic car for the most part but have modern brakes, bigger tyres, GPS and a better more powerful V6.

Sorry I lover the Lancer but if I had the money I'd be on the list to buy one of these!

From what I can tell they are simply making 'new' cars out of surplus 'old' parts, with some upgrades along the way... The price is probably just from the tiny production volume.

The new models will feature a V6 engine that produces around 350 to 370 horsepower, officials said.

Thats pretty impressive for a V6 if its NA... Slightly more than my car (and a much lighter vehicle). I wonder where they are getting it from...

Even a 4B11 NA would have been an upgrade though, the old V6 was a boat anchor

The whole car was a boat anchor. Absolute piece of rubbish. The only way to have made them worse would have been building them in France.

Still a cool car IMO, I agree it's not gonna scare any EVO owner (or Ralliart for that matter) but still a nice dream to have. The new V6 and hopefully a better gear box and suspension after 35 years it's the car it should have been.
