What are these wires?
Looking around to install a garage switch in my CJ
And found these wires attached to the bottom of the coin holder, are they just part of the MY09 wiring harness or do they actually do something like the ASC switch?
Also noticed that a tiny white clip is missing, it helps hold the panel with the cup holders in place. Are they hard to get?
I'm tossing up weather to get a ASC switch and other parts to replace the coin tray or do something else for a garage switch.

I asked at a wreckers but they didn't have any, unfortunately Friday I got caught up doing something else so didn't have time for a large search. I will be heading to Redcliffe next week so might spend the day down in Brisbane and visit a few wreckers down there.
I knew there used them in the 380, wasn't sure about the last Magna's, good to know. I guess they used them in a lot of Mitsy built around the same time.
How hard is it to move a switch on the same panel, if I do put it in the dash one I'd like to move the real ASC over one slot. Was also considering painting the garage one so it's really a stealth install.

Re: What are these wires?
Can we use these wires for something like a power supply feature?
Re: What are these wires?
Might work if you have the fuse in the fuse box and then work out wich one is the positive, but also you might end up with errors from ECU thinking the AWC is alive but not working, so you might end up with a "AWC service required" on the dash

I believe those switches are for heated front seats in up market models. As yours is a VRX, must have only come into use in later models..To check, find spare wires under front seat and see if you can trace it back to those wires with a meter. If right then you know which fuse its connected to.

Re: What are these wires?
They are not for seat heaters. They are for awd and active headlight switches

Stand corrected seat heater switches are behind drink holders.

Marked left blank, center "SONAR" right, "AWC" in MY12 to MY15 Ralliart and possibly others.

Here is what the switches are in my my11 Evo X MR
The middle one on the Evo is the water intercooler spray but isn't used on the MR. I fitted a TPMS in there instead.
