CJ Lancers in your family?

Postby SIR-VRX » Wed Jul 01, 2009 5:11 pm

I thought I'd make this thread as there was no where to put it and I just had to share this!

I was asked over to my parent's house last night to see a "surprise". I was like WTF because they also said it wasn't for me, but it interested me. So when I get there my Aunty and Uncle are there also... weird...

I look in the garage and BAMM!!!

A nice shiny Black CJ Lancer VR is sitting there! My Aunty and Uncle traded in their old XR6 Falcon yesterday afternoon. They test drove the VR on Monday, and immediately loved it and wanted it, just like all us CJ owners! They won't come on this site, they are too old and probably don't even have the internet haha

So that's my CJ Family story, now post yours!

I think most people in VIC know that my bro-in-law drives a silver VRX (easily recognisable since he has my grey side mirror covers, my grey fuel door, a black C-Lip and Shadow's window visors) and m1n1on is related through my wife's side.

So 3 Lancers in the family... .
Beeble tooned MY08 OEd. w/ RA BKit+SWheel
Cosworth Panel Filter w/ RA Intake | SuperCircuit 4-2-1 Headers | Creat’d Ti-tipped SS exhaust
BC BR-type Coilovers | UR + Whiteline Bars
EBC GreenStuff Pads | RDA Rotors

hasu12, do they live in Brisbane also? If so, invite them along next Sunday, the 12th to our cruise!

Well this is my family CJ story:

I crashed my old car (I was at fault) and decided I needed a new car.
My previous car was a Magna and I like Mitsubishi (and Nissan)

I have a look at a few cars and I decide to go with the Lancer, while I was at the dealership with my mum (couldn't drive car as it was defected) she decided to get a new car and ended up getting an 07 ES!

She got hers before mine because of all the rego and them installing extras blah blah blah

But yeah, our household now has 2 CJ Lancers in the driveway :D
(And a dodgy black/blue magna on the front lawn without plates)
Four wheels move the body, two wheels move the soul.

Yes, please ask them. Tell them it's not just about the cars, it's about meeting up with others who have a common interest! And a nice leisurely drive through some awesome scenery.

We'd be honoured to have a Evo come along!

We wanted to encourage our Sydney relatives to get an ES CVT to replace their beat-out TF Magna, but they wanted to pay off the house first so they pretty much have no savings. They're in their 60s already and I think they should drive something new. It's all about feeling great behind the wheel of a car owned by no one else before, the same exact reason why I got the Platinum (probably not the best deal I've gotten, denied a novated lease due to my being ultra honest, so financed through the dealer. I just wanted a new ride no matter what!).

My CE was getting old and the 380 was too big for the missus so we went to Mitsu and bought my Rally Red VRX and a Lightning Blue VRX for the "Boss" LOL :D
