Russel, the current QLD state rep has had to step down due to increased work commitments so the committee is accepting new nominations.


any south east queenslanders wishing to apply can post up why u think you`d be good for the role of QLD state representative on this thread.


prerequisites are a close proximity to the bulk of the members in south east queensland as you`ll be expected to organise and attend most meets and cruises with help from committee members.


the successful nominee will receive all state rep privileges, full voting rights in the committee, subsidies for members, decals and promotional material


u have 7 days to reply with a submission then there will be a further 7 days for the members to vote via poll.

its an honour system re nominating and voting so non QLD members please refrain

Id like to nominate myself for this position

Firstly instead of me saying why I believe I'd be good for this position I'd like to share some ideas I have for the club and ways we can do these ideas

It's all about image
I see often on Facebook and advertisements about charity car shows etc
The way I'd like to get more involved in these types of events is for us a group to chip in and help these events out and also show up as a group

Also other car shows e.g
Downshift, Ride and dine, Harry's
We do premeets so we can all come in together

More cruises both day and night
These are just some of my ideas that I have if u vote for me I will gladly work along side jade and Steve to get these things happenening plus more and listening to what you other members want to see happen

Sucks it has to be SE Queensland, I would be interested. Would love to organise meets in the Sunshine Coast area or above! I suppose Maryborough is still SE but I've never been able to attend any Brisbane meets as they are always south side and would take me 4-5 hours by the time I got there and I know other members having the same issue. Sunny coast is only 2 hours which would provide a happy median.

I might as well submit myself and let the members vote. I work shift work at the local hospital and am often free during the days. I'd love to put work into CCJ as the only way it will improve is for more people to put their hands up and help out. Here's a list of things I would like to implement -

- Meets / Cruises above Brisbane as I have noticed a fair few members never make the meets due to living North of Brisbane, I feel Sunshine Coast would be perfect.
- Faster and more responsive to PM's
- Help minimise the load of work on Steve & Jade
- Able to provide new Premium members with their 'Welcome Packs' quicker, as Justin is quite busy with both CCJ and personal matters, I would love to help him in any way I could.
- The Fraser Coast is soon to be (next few years) getting a Motor Park including drag strip, burnout pad, speedway, drift track and more. Full details are in the link below.
- Would love to make up CCJ flyers to stick on peoples windows as I see a lot of CJ's with loads of mods around the area but don't think any of them are in the club. Would be part of my recruitment process.

As far as my Lancer, I only own a ES because I didn't think RA's were legal on Provisionals. I am a month off 21 and got my licence late due to personal reasons. Once I finish paying off this car I'll definitely be upgrading. Current mods include -

- K&N Typhoon Intake
- RA intake duct / snorkel
- XForce Axleback Dual Exhaust System
- Custom cut intake inlet
- Evo Style body kit
- Side mounted Licence Plate
- 18" Black Rims with Low Profile Falken Tyres
