Center Console Hidden Switches?
Board waiting for the year to end...
So the other day I was checking a few things, adjusting the hand break and cleaning my CJs interior.
So I removed the coin holder just behind the gear change and found wires attached to the bottom. They do nothing, just a plug attached to the bottom. What are they for?
Mine has 2 groups of wires on 2 plugs.
Sorry with my computer issues I haven't take any photos of them.
Happy holidays and have a great new year!

you would need to find out where they terminate.
you could potentially use them provided they do not go into the ETACS ECU in the glovebox. if they go into that then the function will be software controlled.

I would not think so. The active lights work with a sensor in the steering. When you turn your steering wheel to a set point the appropriate side active head light turns on. Eg when you turn you wheels left to approximately 15 deg the second headlights on the left hand side shines on the left side of the road.
They can be very annoying when driving through the hills with only small bends as they don't light much up but constantly come on and off

Unfortunately MY09 did not have the wiring for the seat heaters. I know because I've looked at installing them.
It is a shame because the seats have the warming pads in them.
toc wrote:Aspire - did you find that the warming pads are in there and just need power to work (i.e. the heating pads are there, ready for a connector but no connector for power?)
Yes, you will require them to be wired up to power via a relay via switches to the seats. Sam24a provided me with a good drawing. Maybe he can do a "How to " when he is free.
[quote="sarusa"]Be great to be able to get a workshop manual with comprehensive wiring diagrams such as Gregorys and Haynes before the Yankee take over.[/quote
The Mitsubishi dealers have access to all the drawings. You can ask your local dealer who may provide you some. Some members have a copy of workshop disc which has all the drawings
