bumper/licence plate relocation/shops in Perth for parts

Postby Dougy96 » Sun Oct 18, 2015 7:25 pm

Hey guys, so I'm really interested in getting a front bumper/bumper lips for my car, and from what it looks like I will need to get these http://m.ebay.com/itm?itemId=141189251473 before I can a proper lip, I was just after opinions, because it's a lot of money for those lips, and seeing if anyone else had to get them and where they got them from etc.

I would also like to know if anyone has successfully relocated there licence plate without drilling into there bumper? And the costs involved in doing it.

I find it really hard to find lancer parts especially being over in Perth, and not knowing where a place for parts are in Perth, so if you live in Perth please speak up and help a brother out!!!

Cheers!!

Firstly you will need to drill into the bumper. No way around it unless you trust double sided tape and sikaflex that much.

Second you will have holes from where the current plate is sitting.

I relocated my plate to the left side of my evo kit. I paid $70 for an adhesivee mount, however when it arrived the plastic mount didn't correctly fit (the adhesive was unable to touch in some places) so I ended up having to drill the mount in.

Speak to Scott from evolutionXdesign look him up on face book he has made a mount that does not require drilling,
If not nothing wrong with mounting tape, held my side mount on for a few years,

Hi Brody,

There's not much in Perth, people tend to get things shipped.

There are some places such as The Spoiler Shop but generally they're no cheaper than the internet, unless you're wanting them to do the fitting for you.

I know hardly anything about body-work but watch out for the material they're made from, and whether they're painted or unpainted... If a price seems too good to be true it probably is :P

But for god sake stay away from RPW
