Mars Performance - Opinion?

Postby Amelia92 » Sat Sep 13, 2014 5:59 pm

Hi all,

I am thinking about changing the front and rear lights on my ES and have stumbled across Mars Performance during most of my searches.

I have seen many CJ's with them, however... I know NOTHING about lighting!

I would love to be able to buy the lights and have them fitted by an electrician. My concern is the bulbs in the headlights - I don't want anything too crazy , just a nice cool white beam that won't startled the red and blue.

Thanks!

I got my halos from them...love them but only problem that I have is that there is a kind of film on the outside that has started to peel

I had 5800k bulbs from them too but they were bad in terms of visibility

They are pretty good but unfortunately it's peeled for some reason :(

After the 5800K halogens, I put HIDs in, and they are a lot better.

Generally, if you want halogens - stick to the 4300k range (forgot exact figure)

Thank youuuu :) :)

I have Eagle Eyes (eBay) projector halo headlights and led tail lights and I'm very happy with mine and quality.

As your in Brisbane we normally have the occasional workshop day held by Alan /Megatron, as the lights see plug and play perhaps some members could lend a hand. I did my tail lights and I had help from a member re headlights which aren't a quick job and will cost a bit to get a auto electrician to do it.

Those lights are perfect! I love the look! Thanks for the link as well.

I have seen "Audi" style versions which look cool but I'm afraid the po-po won't like them as they look super bright.

With the rear, is it better to get chrome or black? My Lancer is the ugly champagne :/

Hey Amelia

Check out my National DRL Thread in my signature.

Mars performance offer the brightest lights, however they will never reach as bright as Audis or BMWs unless modified.
They will learn... I will always be a step ahead
