Yes, they don't charge you to attach the plates.
You still have to pay vehicle registration and Compusory Third Party insurance though..
My family has had plates in the three states down the east coast. Qld, Nsw and Vic. The only difference between the 3 states is the combinations differ and in NSW they have a annual fee as well as the initial purchase price.
