As we know, ClubCJ has been left to fend for itself for the past year or so. In order to move forward we needed someone to assist with the technical side of things, someone with experience that knows what they are doing. So for the time being the committee has decided that Kav91X will be given Admin status to assist myself and the committee in moving us along on the technical side of things. He has already looked at a few things on the back-end and kept us online last week during outage on Monday and Tuesday. With him looking after the technical side, I can then focus my efforts elsewhere.
We are all doing our best given the limited resources and lack of whereabouts of the Club President and would like all the support we can get to get this club back to where it should be.
Regards,
Club CJ Committee

YAY.
Finally after a week it's been back... I've held back on putting spotted cards on cars because I didn't think the website would actually come back :\
But in saying that, I do need to talk to an admin about a few things if possible if someone could message me that would be great

Rest assured your trusty and dedicated Exec Team were all over this and working on it everyday behind the scenes to get us back online.
A official announcement will follow soon but as most of you know we had some Host issues the week before.

Also can i propose that in the future more information be shared on status updates on the facebook page please? I know its underused and all but if something major happens at least having an update of hey we're working on it every few days lets us all know that we as a group havent gone under

I'll shed some light on the technical issues...
1 .The downtime on Sundays & Mondays
Was because the current backup system, isn't the greatest.
Essentially it didn't clean up itself afterwards, so on the last attempted backup it maxed out the servers disk space, so when maxed out CCJ ceases to work.
I've cleaned out old backups, but need to modify the script to prevent the issue.
2. Random posting issues and accessing some content, the sessions table became corrupt.
Have repaired and optimized the table, so thats all good
3. Now the big one, the one we've been down for days.
So the logs reveal that...
Server went down April 9, 9:30pm
Came back up magically on April 18, 9:59pm
No logs show, when the system was actually requested to halt/shutdown.
So with the logs I've checked so far, it leads me to believe it was a host related issue.
Prior to that there was mass syntax errors from the show case module, and the logs just show continuous spam of the same error. Not happening now. But I doubt that was the cause.
We can bring it back up in no time in most cases, but the biggest pain for us right now is, when the system faults like this with an unexpected shutdown we can only do something if we actually had the host provider details. We would of literally just pressed the power on button in the panel and done.
Just a crappy situation atm for us but lets hope this big down time was just a once off!
