So my car is out of warranty and i have not been servicing my car with the dealer, will they replace this at their own expense?

I believe that wouldn't matter as they still have to fix it as it is a recall at their cost! Mine has been out of warranty for 18 months and they still did mine, although mine was always serviced at Mitsubishi! That shouldn't make any difference though if your car has been serviced elsewhere! :)

They will get annoyed that you dont have a service sticker because they need to write down km's and your last service interval on their records.

They still have to do the work for free regardless.

(I do all my own maintenance and car is past 5yr warranty. 10 year power train is still there on mine)

Damn just saw this. I've got a 2011 Ralliart.

Car is due to for scheduled service next month. Will advise them of this when I book it in. Cheers for this community :)

So ironically my car has been making funny noises for the last week or so...Took it to my mechanic he pointed it down to a possible bearing that is damaged somewhere along the driving belt (I think there is about 3 bearings in the area). Hopped online and saw the recall notice and it kinda made sense that maybe it's related to the faulty belts and pulleys since that is where the noise is coming from. Anywho I called my dealership and apparently my VIN isn't on the list but my car is a MY10...Should I push for it and maybe meantion the noise?

Mine's a 2010 and my car was on the list. Before you escalate the issue, maybe try calling another service center and see if you'll get a different answer?

I've been told by a dealer they don't stock the parts, the dealers have to order the parts from MMA for the specific vehicle, and when they arrive I go onto a list for the work to be done.

I assume they're doing this due to the volume of vehicles affected vs. having to do their day to day servicing requirements for everyone else.

They'll email/call when the parts arrive and they can fit me in with a mutually convenient day/time.

Mine was booked in... dropped it off in the morning then was told that the parts didnt arrive on time 30 mins before i was due to pick it up (5pm) and so i have to bring it back... Painful to get to the dealer before/after work. Trying to get the parts sent to a dealer closer to my house.
