Mobile Speed Camera
last night checking my dash cam footage I noticed a flash I might have been caught speeding, not that I was speeding.

This was heading south just after the Bruce hwy roadworks near Cooroy, speed limit is 110 but heading down hill and watching another car about the pass me so I'm not sure of my exact speed.
But there is a wall between the traffic so it probably blocked the cameras view of the number plate. I can't see their bumper so it's likely they couldn't see mine, depending where their camera was mounted.
Check the blue blur to the right at about 8-9 sec in the video.
Opinions?
Also do we have a dash cam footage thread?
And how do you post YouTube clips so they can be viewed here without needing a link?
ETA - just uploaded an 'extended cut' of the clip, a whole 30 seconds LOL

This its at 15 sec.
Shows me entering the 110 limit at the start.
And this time it's in slightly better 720HD quality.

No off to the right at 8-9 sec you can see a car the other side of the wall, I'm pretty sure it's a hwy patrol car with mobile speed camera.
Here is the slightly better 720 copy.

Pause this one at 15 sec and you'll see the car.
Thanks

Well all you can do now is wait and see if you get something in the mail
Hopefully it was nothing man.

I can see what you're getting at, but the police wouldn't use a visible-light flash on an oncoming vehicle as it would dazzle the drivers and they would be in a world of trouble if there was a resulting accident.
They do use infra-red, but that wouldn't show up on the DVR - I think it's just 'glitch + cop car = worrying coincidence'

Like I said I didn't see it when driving, mainly because I was watching the other car in my mirror.
Maybe you're right but I do know that part of the road on the other side goes down to 70 earlier, so maybe if it was a police camera they had set it for the lower limit. Either way I have the video if I get a speeding fine for 100 plus in a 70 zone, when I'm clearly in the 110 when going south.
I just hate not knowing.

I highly doubt the flash is for speeding. Cameras taking photos of your car speeding should be behind your back. The cop car was also in motion and going the other way so it wouldn't have captured a measured speed from you.

I've been done by a speed camera on the other side of a 2 lane road, it was at night and no street lights and going down a hill and round a slight bend. I was approaching the camera van, got flashed and was like what the for a second or 2... those things are bright! should've veered into the van and crashed and blamed the flash.
