I have to lean towards the VRX as well. My wife has an Outlander VRX and compared to the interior on the RA it rocks, way better. Unless you're planning on saving money and then modding, go the VRX.

I remember the first meet that I went to when I had my VRX and every one was like holly cow you have a sunroof wow soo rare haha, I sold my 2008 VRX to the brother in law for $12,500 about 4months ago, got offered $14000 trade in about a month before that was, it was pretty mint and had ~50k km and was fully optioned when new
The smart key and auto everything is always good, when I drive my E7 it's like who actually has a key these days and windo wipers are soo much effort to use haha :)
I do miss the sunroof

VRX cos sunroof and Rockford Fosgate already on it.

Also if it's MY09 it should have the 2.4L 4B12 rather than the 2.0L 4B11 the rest of the Lancers have.

Sorry to hijack the thread but I'm about to get a VRX and after reading the thread I'm wondering if I'm paying too much.

It's an 09' VRX manual sedan in black, standard audio, no leather or sunroof and the only mods are crappy 18" chrome wheels for $14990 at a dealer.

They recently sold another 09' VRX for the same money.

Doesn't sound too bad, being a dealer you always pay a little more than buying it privately! Also depends on the kms to on the clock and what transmission (manual or cvt).

Sounds about right from what I learned doing my research ^_^ What rego is left also has a big part to do with the price... when I purchased my VRX the price had dropped from $14990 to $11900 just because the rego had 1 week left.

Yes correct the 90, 000 service is a major one, I had mine done back in May this year, was quoted about $700 from Mitsubishi, proceeded with it anyways but in the end the dealer only quoted me about $525 from memory!

Dealer said they will take care of the service.

Rego is April I think but is only about $700 for the full year. Same as my old CC coupe.

If they are doing the major service than it sounds alright to me and will save you a bit of money too!

Looks like we'll sign the papers in the morning, when I give the car the once over. Big storm here right now, hope its clear in the morning.

I was also looking at another VRX sedan, 08 model, so virtually the same for $12k except 116k on it but in light silver and standard VRX wheels. Only problem is it's in Brisbane and I haven't been able to contact them.

They are part of the Bryan Byrt group and I just found this online, wonder if they are closing up shop?

If it is an early 08 model it will be only the 2L, rather than the 2.4L engine! I have the 2L but I still find it has a bit of grunt, easiest way is the see what coloured tail lights the car has!

If I was you I would buy the 2009 VRX as it is slightly newer with less km's and a slightly bigger engine! :)
