yeah I think I will just go with metal pulleys and a gates belt to be sure. for the NA or stock-ish cars this recall is a good idea though IMO

I'm getting pulley replaced too. What drama. My wife was hanging clothes to dry and 2 yr old son locked her out and she was cooking on the stove. Lucky they lend me the ute. Now I get to use it for another 2 days waiting for pulley

Got my letter yesterday.
You'd think any signs of belt wear would be detected during routine services, whether by authorised Mitsubishi service centres or reputable service centres/stations?
My last two services by PM here in Victoria lists belt check and adjust tension as required.
I'll look at getting it done next month sometime.

Haven't recieved a letter, so went in to my local Mitzi this morning she is booked in for the 16th, not keen on leaving it with them, but hey better safe then sorry I suppose :/
I presume the belt is the same between the Na and the turbo variations ??
The dealer seems to think so

yep, with my dealer u have to make sure they have the parts, i learnt that lesson when i presented the car for a pre booked sst oil change only to be rung up later that the didnt have any oil, and then they told me that they had a full card for 3 weeks, come back after that, but after i told them the error of theyre ways i got it down to 48 hours, just stupid.
