Drive Belt Recall for 2008-2011 Lancers

Postby JustinR » Tue Dec 02, 2014 9:19 am

Hi All,

It's come to my attention that theres a recall for ALL Lancers from 2008-2011, due to the possibility of the drive belt detaching from the engine.

I would advise that you have your car checked at a dealer as soon as possible :) I became aware of this yesterday due to having my Ralliart booked in for 60,000 service, and the Service Manager proceeded to tell me what was being checked.

What, Australians don't get their own recall notification? Or isn't it officially released here yet?

Kinda pissed off about this. Had my drive belt changed at 100,000km at Meek Automotive -.-
why won't they recall our weakass timing chains?

EDIT: Typo

Will wait & see, getting my SST fluid changed in the new year so hopefully can fix this up same time.

I was actually just at Gregs place, and the mitsubishi prople called him and to book the car in so I went to mitsubishi on the way home and asked them what was going on. They said a notice had just bern put up for this recall and no one really knew anout it. So mine is now boked in for Friday.
