Ergh that's got a suck. Hopefully you can get it fixed up soon. I think you might have just got a dodgy car, seem to have had a few problems with it. I thought you were going to sell it?

Hi guys,

I just bought an 09 lancer and I found this happens occasionally as well.

It's pretty damn annoying.

The lancer was purchased second hand from a dealer and I'm still under the statutory warranty. Is this something worth following up, given I bought it from a holden dealer and I'm not sure what they'd do....

1. given this issue is near impossible to demonstrate
2. given they aren't a mitsu dealer and don't have the parts to deal with it anyway.

Anyone have any idea?

Had my car looked at by Mitsu dealer.

They said it was the coil spring failing.

So guys, FYI. This is (probably) the cause.

Go nuts!

Hi Guys

I am having the same problem here. Pressing up changes back to the previous track instead of next track, volume up going to volume down etc.

What is this clock spring coil spring fix? If i take it to the dealer is it something they can fix fairly fast (as in within a day)

Have to take my car in for it's 2 year service so hoping to get this annoying problem fixed at the same time

Thanks in advanced
