New Car...Now What?

Postby GT » Tue Aug 19, 2014 9:26 pm

Hey all,

I have just got my new Lancer 2014 and the first thing i did after leaving the dealership was remove they advertising from MY car number plate Surround/frame and stickers!

I also removed the "Lancer" badge thought it was aluminum but its cheap plastic!!

I am planing a Exhaust for a bit of sound and tinting but want to know from the people who own Lancers what should i do to my new car...without risking my warranty!!!

I do have New 19" rims weathershields and floor matts...and err thats it!

I haven't really had the music going so i don't know if there any good yet! i was looking at the white and silver but the silver just looked weird..don't know why maybe its just me! (cj-white)

One thing i did notice was that the bluetooth for call only plays through the passenger speaker is that normal?

That's obviously not normal and you should probably get that checked out by your local dealer.

In calls its not normal if its that lady voice think in bluetooth then im sure it is. Depends on what unit u have, i know with the non mmc in the 2008-2012 you hold tune in for 5sec and you can direct what speaker the bluetooth use passanger, driver or both front. But since u have 2014 im guessing u have the new mmc i guess they hace the same option to direct the bluetooth, it just be different. Sorry unsure
Love That Car. (cj-blue)

:) 8) :welcome:  :P

If you have the standard or 6.5" touchscreen head unit, the other person's voice only comes from the front passenger speaker - it's a bit weird, but I think the idea is that it's like having a conversation with someone in the passenger seat. It's odd, but you get used to it...

Have you got the tinting yet?

I have the same model as you and in same colour.

Disappointed by the rear small windows though, the tinting doesn't look flush :( maybe because of the inside rubber trim, there is a few cm gap.

Was the tint done by the dealer? If there is gaps I would go back and get it fixed a good tinter should be able to do it and cut right to the edge and most can feed the tint under the rubber.

Yeah looking at bringing it back soon.

Nice black rims would be awesome, looking for some myself but in 18 maybe 17, really good tyres are expensive as it gets bigger.
