ClubCJ Member Badges

Postby Ozie » Thu Jun 11, 2009 1:54 am

As part of our Merchandise Range we want to offer CluBCJ Member Number Badges.
These badges will be uniformly mounted on the car.

These will be available to be purchased by Premium members.
Every Premium Member Receives a 4 digit Sequential Member Number.

There is one thing we need to work out before we can get these into production.

What do we include on the badge.

The Basic design has been finalized we just need to work out what writing goes underneath.
The size of these will be about the same size as the side indicator light.
The Font will be Similar to Engraving so that may change.

So a ClubCJ Poll is the best way for all the members to decide.

PLEASE CHOOSE YOUR FAVOURITE OPTION.

I'm suggesting on the driver side just under the side mirror.

well.... i will be, and i am sure the majority of ClubCJ Members will.

i mean you could hide it under your hood in the engine bay,
but it defeats the purpose.
they will be the size or a little bit smaller than your side indicator light.

AWESOME!

We should make them sorta CF if we can Ozie rather than silver. like...so they look darker. like, not actually CF, but CF-look.

Can we go for a grill mount similar to the RA badge?

CF could work Josh.
but we need them be uniform.

Ryan...myself & ofey are working on something similar to that, but as ofey mentioned to me we might have an issue with Trademark or Copyright.

here is a few sample pics of our front CJ Ralliart style grill badge.

If we do the RA badge clone, we could be accused of lack of originality.
If you do that also then what happens to people who actually drive RA's are they then supposed to remove their grill badge? Not quite fair is it? Trademark and copy right also come into question.

I've suggested we mount a badge under the the driver side mirror. It's like the point where when people look across at your car they'll see it.

What about a CJ badge for the back, in the same sorta style as the 'Lancer' badge, for all those who want to get rid of their ES, VR or VRX badge but still want it to look original?

This idea would cover that if you wanted to put it there. Just remove the VR/VRX badge (which is in individual letters) with fishing line or whatever, polish n clean, and then stick the new one in place. That was my suggestion from earlier, I reckon it might look good there. I'll put mine in the centre just below the brake light or just below the tridiamonds, because I've removed the LANCER and VR from the boot.
