Phone charging via usb in glovebox
I put an Alpine head unit in my wifes car. I would like to know if there is a way to utilise the USB in the glovebox just for charging the phone only.

Yeah thats sorta what I am trying to do. There is no way to use the USB in the glovebox with the USB input on the new headunit.Hoges wrote:You can buy a usb outlet from J-car that may fit and all you do is hook it to the 12 accessories
I thought I wonder if there is anyway of tapping into it and atleast still be able to use it as a charging point for the phone.

Nah,,, I'd leave it in case you ever put the OEM head unit back in - you can pick up a squillion different 12VDC socket chargers for a coupla dollars on eBay...
