The exhaust will not just bolt on. It needs to be modified to fit. Not a big job for an exhaust shop though.
The ra bumper bolts straight on. It is a bit higher off the ground then the na bumper.

Ok. Im just trying to get my head around it. So if i took my Lancer to my repair shop and asked for the RA Bumper, i presume they would also do the modifying work of the exhaust? (Im gathering that most places would if necessary)

No, you would need to go to an exhaust shop...
but you can drive around with just one exhaust until you get it sorted.

Seriously - start looking around for yourself at pictures of other Lancers and decide what you want, that'll give you some direction to work towards...

IMO if you go for an RA rear bumper, buy the stock RA exhaust (or an aftermarket exhaust that fits an RA) with it at the same time.

Or get a custom exhaust to fit, apparently fitting the RA exhaust is a bit of work

Actually Akram's got a good point.

You can actually just get a twin pipes done from the axle-back so you don't need to pay extra to get an RA exhaust to fit. >.> oops derp moment!

Would the X-Force twin exhaust fit on an RA bumper right away? Not so sure..

You would have to do measurements Seffy, line up a car with a xforce next to a RA or evo on the next cruise and let us know, I think it will be wider then the RA exhaust as the OEM non turbo exhaust is more to the side

Yeah i would recommend going custom, and not buying the stock ralliart muffler. Xforce will not fit, its too wide and I think the tips are too small for the ralliart bumper anyway. Get a custom dual tip and youll be happy.

does sedan and sport back use the same front and rear bumper for the ES? or can i expand my search to VRX's etc

because mine's gotten pretty banged up (the back ) and i'd like to replace it with another one!

Dylan: as others have said go for a custom exhaust. if your lookinga t changing your exhaust and rear bumper, do the bumper first then go exhaust. I went through all this least year as i have a ra exhaust and aftermarket bodykit sitting at home. The exhaust wont just bolt straight on as the mid pipes on the na and ra are in differnt places. I went to about 5 exhasut shops and they all told me the same thing. yes they can modify the exhaust to make it fit, but for not much extra $$ i can get a custom one made up thats, new and looks and sounds how i want. They also told me about putting the bumper on first, so they can build the exhaust around the bumper, ie: making the pipes come out in the pre cut pipe holes.

Kevin: Not sure with the front bumper, but think they are possibly the same for sportsback and sedan. The rear bumper is different though. And yes the vrx will fit an es.
