Twisty run - 30/11/13 - Mac Pass, Kangaroo Valley loop

Hey everyone, I know this clashes with another cruise but thought i'd post anyway. Shared with another small car club from Sydney so will be a few other makes there. Probably the odd Liberty also.

Who's up for a day of good roads, and a pie at the top of the mountain? It's been too long since my car has been used properly, and now uni is over its time to blow the cobwebs out. Here's the plan -

1. Leave Sydney (Auburn Maccas/Crispy Cream)
2. Wollongong - pickup others maybe a coffee
3. Macquarie Pass
4. Pie at Robbo pie shop
5. Kangaroo Valley
6. Kiama Bends
7. Jamberoo Rd

This is an awesome loop. I used to do it with the bike guys all the time. The loop starting in Wollongong is probably ~250 km so add on bit from Sydney.

Bring any cool friends who like driving.

Its not a race either people. These are technical roads, we're there to have fun, not win bragging rights. Drive to your own limits and enjoy.

Start point probably in Auburn Maccas. Meet @ 9.30am for 10am leave.

Yeah this is a great loop - I haven't done the Kangaroo Valley part for ages though. Jamberoo Rd is still my fav though

I haven't done in my car for ages. always use to go in my mates lancer as he loves going thru jamberoo and mac pass

I used to drive those roads a fair bit. Some of the best roads that the Illawara has to offer. My friend Crystal lives about 10 minutes from Mac pass.... Dam she knows it we'll.
I've been meaning to get down there again and show Belle the roads and the views, too caught up with work and RFS training I guess.
Keep us posted if you decide to do this at some point. It would be awesome to see and lancer snake carving it's way through the mountains!!

I've done RNP > MAC PASS > Jamberoo Rd a couple of times in the last month.. Mostly the roads are good... Just narrow and windy!!

Who is actually going?

Last time I did mac pass the rd was great . Not sure what kv is like now there used to be some rough bits but not too bad. Jamberoo rd is awesome. This is still going ahead. Meet point and time locked in. Who's coming?

Im keen, if we can make a detour before the pass but, get off at yallah, go through Marshall mount around the back, bit of a dodgy road at points and not the best intersection at the end, but great views and photo stop near the end we would all love
