I got mine off ebay too, 90% identical to OEM. Instead of the harness plugging into the one already behind the front grill, or attaching to the fuse box, mine had its own fuse and plugged straight onto the battery.

Also, u know when you turn on your headlights, a light appears on ur dash to indicate that they are on? Since mine arent hooked up to it, the indicater light for the fog doesnt turn on, but they are connected to my parker lights so they only turn on when (1) my switch is on and (2) the parker lights are on (so I dont leave them on accidently).

They work well regardless, hope that made sense

It has to go back to a dealer to have the ETACs programmed I think for the light on the dash to work for foggies....

From what I've been led to believe about the kit provided by Mitsubishi, this will plug into the loom and your lighting switch will be changed over.

Preston is working on a quote.

Hi guys,

I'm definitely interested in the scuff plates (SS scuff plates, set of 4 with "LANCER" writing on the front 2) and quite possibly interested in the ES stereo controls for the wheel.

However, I have done the 3.5mm AUX mod (what a pain that was..) and when I plugged in my aux leads I had to take out 2 others (which weren't supposed to be there anyway). I'm 99% sure those leads didn't do anything (because I have noticed nothing different since they were removed) but is there any chance they were lying dormant, waiting for the steering wheel controls to be used?

I find it unlikely that the left/right/ground? leads would have anything to do with my AUX cable but I would just like to not go through the trouble of that again (should have been an easy mod but I had untold troubles with it).

So to summarise (sorry for long post) I'm definitely keen for scuff plates, and quite interested in steering wheel control set, but I need to be sure the cables I removed have nothing to do with the wheel control, and they plug n' play. I'm not asking for anyone to hold my hand and promise me everything will be ok but a general indication of whether or not those mysterious cables are relevant or not would be great.

Thanks!

Sorry if it's already been posted - but here's a guide on how to install the MZ314041 - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GGqRAOEC0gA (more I look at it the more I want it ..)

Also, I'd be interested in a bottle of the red touch up paint too :)

Nope. Go check the price out with your dealer. One of the guys on our board works for one and he cannot believe the level of discount we're on.

Ofey - are we able to get items other than those listed? esp. if a few members are after those parts?

I'd be interested to see how much this dealer can do a VRX console (w/lid) and front sway-bars perhaps???

They'd be HOT items for ES owners I'd say!

Yeah ;-) That's the part!
Can we get a better price on OEM part ofey?

$230 for part and shipping seems steep! It's just a piece of $5 steel tube with 2 $10 plates attached??

I would make one up myself at work if I had one to copy!!!

Make you're own then, take some measurement's make the plates and then weld a bar between them...

The OEM one isn't very strong anyways, you could make or buy a much stronger one...

Not a bad idea! I'm considering it now!
But what I don't know is: Is it under tension or....
eg. I'm sure if it has any effect at all, that the car body bends when the wheels are on the ground, and un-bends when not under tension.... So, do you take the measurements with the car just sitting in the driveway? or do you make the bar slightly shorter, to "pull" the struts or slightly longer to "hold them out"??
