Oh look its this thread again...

Most of the pictures I'm seeing in all these posts were concepts for the evo X, not the evo XI.
And even the ones that are evo XI concepts are like, 2 years old. The only one I haven't seen before is that orange coupe thing, but that looks more like an eclipse, and if the evo is still going to be based of the next-gen lancer then I won't put much stock in those concepts either.
Diesel/hybrid/electric speculation has also been around for 2+ years... I even think they confirmed one of them at some stage already, but things can change.

There are just too many rumours around the next Evo, but none confirm the X's successor.
- hybrid - possible
- diesel hybrid - highly unlikely and unwelcome
- to make enough power to fight GT-R - bring it on
- not to be replaced at all (as in no more XI) - hopefully not
The coupe we see in the photos can probably be a proposed new body style, especially when it is slated to combat Godzilla. If the Evo is to be its own model like the next WRX distancing itself from the Impreza, there may as well be a two-door version.

As it said in articles, the new Evo will likely be based on the RA concept body style and totally different from the Lancer sedan range. A hybrid seems most likely configuration at this stage.
