What brand tyres are u running that is probably the issue , lancer are generally nosie by nature my 09 vrx is .... But I am running Bridgestone protenza s005 and that had reduced the road noise , if u wanted a more drastic measure though you could consider dyna matting the car .... And btw welcome to club CJ. ;)

Depending on what brand and size u go for mine are 215 x 45 18 Bridgestone they cost me 850 for four but I got one free if u didn't want to go that much you can go 225 40 18 in a brand called zetum they are good tyres to I have had them before so have a couple if other members , what I would really recommend is head to bob Jane t matts they will explain the width and size u can go because on the lancer u can fit 215 225 and 235 width tyres without guard rolling and you can go a 40 or a 45 series depending on how hard u like ur ride , but head to bob Jane they will explain everything and what brands are best for low road noise ;) hope that helps

Welcome to Club CJ!

As Mark said Lancer's are notorious for road noise, I have 18" low profile tyres on my car and they can become very noisy, depends on on the road surface I find, mine seem to be worse on a smoother road (eg. highway / freeway with a speed limit of 100km/h+). I find the tyre noise becomes extremely bad from around the 120km/h mark on my car! :)

Do what I am doing and Dynamat everything. That will stop road noise, not that I have that problem in the Ralliart :P

Welcome To ClubCJ Glenn :) I had low profile tyres at first & noticed more of the road noise , Even though I liked the look of the low profiles I changed mine to the 45's & noticed less noise & I found the 45's give a better ride " Not so harsh over bumps " ... Just a suggestion for you !
