Nah from what he said about the ignition barrel they basically barrel stuffed it using a screwdriver or something along those lines, and started the car up from there.

It was found a few blocks away from my place.
I got a random text just before 9pm last night, so I went to check it out and there was my car.
It seems like they somehow managed to hot wire it.
As soon as its fixed, I'm definitely getting off my ass to sell it and start modding the evo :)

Did anyone see on the news the other day an attempted robbery at a service station?

Can't remember exactly what happened, but it showed a CJ Lancer and said the thieves gave up and ran away after they "couldn't work the car's ignition"

Smart Key FTW!

I believe a locksmith can fix the ignition barrel for you, they replaced mine for me once in the Telstar when it jammed up.

Wow only a few blocks away??? How lucky. They didn't get very far did they? Does this incident count as 'stolen' on records though?

Did they just dump it on the side of the road? Maybe they didn't like your music? :P

Come on Kyle... spill the beans... Did you just get into the car once you saw it and drive it home again?

Wonder if there is a ignition lock on the battery terminal at all... instead of taking off the battery... hm... but i guess that could be overcome too...

After I found it, I called the cops and they arrived 2 hrs later, they wanted to dust it for fingerprints so they took it for a few days.
Already started organising the repair, an auto electrician has to fix/replace the ignition barrel then I have to take it to a locksmith to get it re-coded.

Hope the cops find them.
