Hi guys im Nathan from QLD and i drive a 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer VR. It is a mystic blue colour and it has replaced my old 07 lancer velocity that was written off in a car accident.
I would like to put a new set of wheels on the car along with a new spoiler and hood... and it would also be nice to lower it...
As this is my first CH and only Second car i would appreciate all the help and advice i can get
Thanks
Nathan
p.s. the handbook link is broken

Welcome Nathan. Congrats on your purchase of the VR. I hope you enjoy the car as much as everyone else on the forums.
There are a number of sites and places you will be able to get parts from for our Lancer CJ's, as its been in the market for such a long time. If you're lucky you might even be able to pick up some of the parts that you're looking for at your local wreckers for a cheaper price. Or as many have done bought from an online store or from another member or from a forum group buy or from Ofey our forum OEM Parts & Group Buy organiser.
All the best with your mods.
Just to make sure you don't end up buying wrong parts, to clarify our car model is labelled CJ not CH (& properly labelled the CY4A for the NA models). And since your car is a VR its engine will be an 4b11. And some overseas stores label our cars the Galant Fortis.
For more information about wheels and the sizes you can put on, check out the wheel threads. But if you get lost and cant find your answer in an already made thread don't be shy and ask on the chat or make a new thread in the appropriate sections.
All the best and welcome. ^_^

Welcome Nathan Mystic Blue 2008 VR " Nice " Same as mine
With the wheel size I put 18 x 8 with 225 x 45 x 18 Tyres on mine & they are normally a good size most go with !
With adding a spoiler you can leave the little VR Lip on & still add another spoiler & doesn't look out of place " Personal Preference though "
With Lowering you could go with " King springs " although most would suggest " Coil-overs " Enjoy Your New Car !

Mystic blue is an interesting colour, i am trying to plan out the colour scheme... my last car was black so red was an easy decision... this one has to be a little more thought out i think... has anyone got any opinions?
