Your opinions on this bumper

Postby Metalstrix » Mon Jul 01, 2013 2:22 pm

Hey guys

My lancer is only... 5 months away and I've decided that I want a red lancer. However, for the past few months, I've had an eye on this particular front bumper for my new car and I've been getting mixed opinions about it.

What do you guys think of this bumper and why?

And "It's your car, you do what you want with it." is not an answer. :)

Just note that when I buy it
- The Numberplate will be on the grille
- This bumper will be plastic (not fibreglass)
- There will be no DRLs as I have my angel lights
- I won't be getting the side skirts and the spoiler

its pretty nice, i like that little air duct lol, but in all seriousness, you should mod to your tastes not other peoples. Why try to please others? As long as you like it, that should be the main thing.

I agree with what Kevin says.

I don't like the bumper, at all. But at the end of the day, why modify your car to others taste?

I like it, and I agree. If you have to ask us whether you should get it or not that's probably a fairly solid indication that you don't really like it enough.

I also think part of the reason this particularly Lancer is pulling it off is how it looks in combination with the fender vents, side skirts, spoiler, windscreen decal etc.

It is a pretty sweet bumper, though.

100%

You seriously modify your car to impress other people?

Exactly what I was thinking. Its from the higher-spec evo they have overseas.

Isn't rainbowpen of very questionable quality as well?

Lol i dont think this thread will help your dilemma .. some will like it, some wont. no pointing thinking of what all of clubcj thinks :P :P

me personally, not a fan. Id say keeping it a clean look, add a lip or something to the stock front bumper if you want more aggression.

Lol you guys.

All I asked was... "What do you think of the bumper". That's it. Nothing else.

I wasn't asking or talking about "impressing" people or 'caring' what others think. That's my decision. There's a difference. From my end, I don't want to drive around having a bumper that looks horrible. It's a personal thing. All I want is opinions about the bumper. Not about why I want it.

But seeing the answers I was after, it is again mixed. This was a curious question.

Just realised I didn't answer... I like it, but on a NA lancer I'd think its pretty silly :P
