How do I remove the front interior reading lights please?

Postby Dungogvolts » Fri May 24, 2013 4:17 pm

Can someone please give instructions on how to remove the front interior reading lights the one just above the rear view mirror? I have this very annoying noise and I think I have narrowed it down to the Blue Tooth mic, which I don’t use as I have a separate one, but need to get the light out and don’t want to force it if there is an easy way. I did some searching but nothing comes up.
Many thanks.

I pulled the whole assembly out with my finger tips. Just "gently but firmly" from the edge

yup. the whole unit comes out. Just pull it out, but not too hard, as you may start yanking on the cables. :)

I would remove light covers first. This gives you a good area to hold that won't damage or leave finger prints on the roof lining.
Then grab and pull down firmly.
It is only held in by 4 steel spring clips.

just use a thin screwdriver with something soft covering the top of it and place it between a gap and wedge it out, while you are at it replace your interior lights with 32mm 5050 leds :D
