Managed to lean out the fuel slightly, and then advance the timing slightly, particularly through the spool up. Also backed off the aggressiveness of the ramp up rate and OMG it’s like driving a new car – very very smooth during normal driving, and the power curve when spooling feels more ‘certain’Last night I began tuning the boost (target boost & WGDC), and have managed to get rid of my biggest bug bear. For those who log their RA’s will know that the boost can peak (say at 22ps), then dip a little (to around 20.5psi on mine) before peaking up again to 22psi before tailing off as the revs peak. Several WOT logs this morning show – NO DIP....
Very happy, not only because of this but also because I understand how I did it

Now just have to teach myself how to bring the spool up backa few hundred rpm
[/quote:e5392d7386] How did u get rid of that dip? maybe to bring spool up back few hundred rpm is to raise the boost?
(Sort of) Spoke too soon. Boost curve is good. Peaks at 22.9 PSI (Target of 22.4PSI) then drops to 20.5PSI in the 4000 - 5500RPM range before bottoming out at 17. Removed upwards correction and played with the WGDC figures in the 2750 - 4000 RPM range - 3rd attempt got it where I wanted. Waiting for my 3-port to arrive so hopefully will improve on these figures
However - Torque still drops off sharp after the peak at approx 3,400RPM, from around 352 to 326 (Virtual Dyno - smoothing 2) at 4,200RPM. The only thing that changes is that timing, from 8 at peak boost, rises to 11 at 4,200 - guessing that is where I need to concentrate next
