Any of you guys running the Super Sport flash? After I did mine I noticed it would not change into 6th gear at 60km's anymore in auto mode.

If I change it manually it sort of grinds, so I drive in 5th gear at 60km now.

I'm suspecting that's what killed the early model SST's in RA's.

Any how a fluid change at around 45,000km is what is in the service manual these days, my original gearbox was replaced at 75,000km. It was stock back then

I was covered under warranty thankfully, my new gearbox has been trouble free so far.

I would probably suggest getting the fluid changed. Unfortunately you are probably out of warranty now being an 08

changing the fluid in the SST is probably not that difficult if your handy enough. You will want to change the external filter too.

Changing the internal filter is a good idea, but is hard.

There's a few threads on the US forums on how to do it

If you're out of warranty it will be an exxy job if they have to pull the tranny. Try new fluid and filter first - Ford, Diaqueen or Castrol Tranmax Dual - all the same. Ford and Castrol much cheaper. If that helps, then winning. You could also do teach-in using Pass-Thru CAN. I did this after doing the s-sport flash and it reduced a similar issue I had. Never heard grinding, but my exhaust it to loud!
MAP EF2 turbo , DW65 fuel pump, ID1000 injectors, EvoX FMIC, UR dump pipe, 100 cell cat, CP-E Exhaust, aFe air filter...and mud flaps!
