Fog Lights not illuminating

Postby talktomrgibson » Fri Apr 26, 2013 10:37 am

i seem to have an issue with my foglights (and last time i mentioned it to the dealer i think they forgot to take a look).

vehicle is an RA 2010 Sportback

the switch is working on the steering assembly,
dash light illuminates,
relay ticks on and off,
fuse is not blown,
bulbs are not blown,

i've done all i can think to do, and after looking at the workshop manual diagram they fuse and relay seem to be the only places something can go wrong.... i cant work out why they all of a sudden wouldn't be working.

the dealer did have the front bumper off to do some work to the transmission recently, so somebody may have broken something??

does anybody know off the top of their head what the warranty is on electrical parts and if there is anything else i can try before taking it back into the dealer to fix? (ultimately i would rather fix it myself than be without a car for a day)

does anybody know where the wiring harness connector is located for them?

If you remove the radiator cover you should be able to look down on top of the intercooler and see where the connectors should be er... connected.

Grey connector right in the middle on a bracket.

maybe i should have left it and gone back to them to see if they would be honest about it ;)

No one remembers to plug them back in. ;)
