Chadreed22199/Victoria/VRX Sortback

hi guys im new around here looking at doing some performance mods and alot of visual changes.

also while im here id thought id ask i have a 2008 vrx sportback. just a question is it a 2.0L or a 2.4L ive been looking it into it and i cant find anything which would be each way. when they sold it to me they said it was 2.2 clearly i know thats wrong now.

Fiirst of all welcome to the club!

Secondly, early 2008 (MY08) Lancers are 2.0 litres whilst late 2008 (MY09) are 2.4 Litres!

thanks.

well i just happened to look at the vin panel on the inside of the door and it said 11/08

im guessing thats when it was built. so that would make it a 2.4 yes?

what is the Vin ill tell u and compare it to mine , as mines a 2.4

If it says 4B12 it's a 2.4, if it says 4B11 it's a 2.0. :)

the Vin is JMFLNCX5A9U000510

i actually put it into carhistory.com and they said its a 2009 model. so that means its defiantly 2.4L then yes?

Yes it should then be a 2.4L then from my understanding.

sweet thanks i guess thats better then finding out i got less than what i paid for haha.

now just have to work out whats the best mods to do thats all

yeah ive been checking your garage out and added a couple things to my garage. just thinking i need to save up a bit of coin to do anything performance wise.

there is one thing tho. ive been looking for a cheap ralliart intake snorkel. ive done the free short ram intake mod on the original snorkel and i thought if i buy the bigger snorkel itll get more air in but will it have the same sound or to get the same sound should i do the same thing and cut a section out near the airbox and replace it with the mesh?
