7" dvd sat nav headunit (recent gb type) canbus unit x

I think the reason for our canbus not working on manuals is because there is no revease signal in the vihicles wiring.

Can someone do me a favor please and i will try figure this out.

FAVOR: IF you have a Automatic and have a canbus connected and have a LED test light around. try puting the test light an all the wires (one at a time) on the back of the canbus connector and see what one lights up when reverse gear is selected. Take picture and let me know what one is the wire so i can test it on my manual lancer.

It is a possibility, though it *should* run of the signal wire that engages the reverse lights when you put the car in reverse...

on the plus side, the patch i downloaded works a treat! its friggin awesome! and i dunno who the bloke is but PM me if you want 'MORE INFO'

there should be some sort of wiring , mines not the group buy one buy it comes up automatically when i go into reverse , i have a mannual

Okay, i might need to make a new thread for this,

but basically,

DOWNLOAD THE FILE AND THEN READ THE READ ME

copy the wincepatch files onto your sd card

make wincepatch.exe the file your navigation boots from in the setup menu

let it install (yes it takes a minute, dont worry, it will work!

then disable auto boot navigation

set programfiles/desktop/desktop.exe as the boot file and TA DA!!!!

ive copied igo premo into my sd card program files (exactly how you do with windows on your PC) and it works perfectly!

though i cant get the GPS programs to load (comes with garmin, tom tom and route 66 (though i doubt it has aus maps)) everything else works.... might need a stylus for all those pesky windows close buttons....

From what i can see in the directory, all the gps 'programs' that appear in the iphone style interface are just icons... i will look into how to get the igo/amigo/primo working but ima go get some shut eye and consider today a bit of a win (even if my rear camera needs a manual switch on!)
