There is no auto back. There is back detect and it's on. Get me another canbus and bring it on the kiama cruise. I will give you my one that I have back to you that day too. And I will see if the new one works while you are there on the cruise so if the new doesn't work I can just give it back too you.

It's probley a faulty headunit not the canbus

No I have ask her to replace it yet as I will be left with nothing. The OEM one not working 100% too.

I will email her tonight and ask for a replacement.

I paid that for mine too Crift, had free delivery looked at it the day after i paid for it and the price went up lol.

Thanks for the offer mrmuppet, but no one can really confirm that it works properly with the RF sub and amp, so a bit scared to go through with the purchase.

Is it just the gb unit or any unit that the rf sub and amp have issues with??

Just a update where im at guys,

Installed my stereo and canbus today (RDO WOOT!)

The navigation(windows) side of the stereo was having all sorts of issues not responding to the touch screen, turned out to be a crap touch screen calibration (from factory) on the windows side... i had all but given up

Crift came round and with a few swear words, a lot of frustration he got it going for me (once he'd figured out what the issue was... ) CRAZY!

anyway,

The Canbus unit doesnt apear to do anything for me, even all the settings turned on properly and the car still wont auto dip the screen brightness when headlights switch on, nor flick to the camera automatically.

No idea why, but interested to see if its because mine is a manual?
Crift even tried swapping the canbus units... no luck!

for now ill just leave it and see what happens with you guys, it could be something simple and stupid... i dunno.

I'm sure Cammag5 had all that stuff working with his CANBUS.

His is a manual too
