i hope your not using those on a RA with the alloy bonnet?

Yeah I hope you specified that you have an aluminium bonnet, they might be too stiff.
If they are you could use just one.

I did ask before purchasing and Paul told me that they would be ok and that the bonnet would just open quicker, but I will see how it goes with just one side first

Megatron had the same problem, he sold his spare to Sleeper.

Mine was ok, I use both struts, but not before Megatron tested the stiffness by pushing it into the ground
